Βλέπετε τον Όλυμπο, το ψηλότερο βουνό της Ελλάδας.
Ο συμπαγής ορεινός του όγκος βρίσκεται στα όρια της Θεσσαλίας με τη Μακεδονία, μια σειρά από ψηλές κορυφές που αυλακώνουν βαθιές χαράδρες, γύρω από τις οποίες εκτείνεται μια περιοχή ιδιαίτερης βιοποικιλότητας. Η επίδραση της βροχής και του ανέμου σε συνδυασμό με τις συχνά βίαιες δυνάμεις της φύσης διαμόρφωσαν τη σημερινή μορφή του Ολύμπου που υψώνεται σχεδόν στα 3.000 μέτρα.
Για την προστασία της περιοχής, ανακηρύχθηκε το 1938 ως ο πρώτος Εθνικός Δρυμός της Ελλάδας, ενώ αργότερα το ελληνικό υπουργείο Πολιτισμού ανακήρυξε τον Όλυμπο ως αρχαιολογικό και ιστορικό τόπο λόγω των διάσπαρτων μνημείων του. Βρίσκεται περίπου 18 χλμ. από την παραλία του Λιτόχωρου, απ΄όπου τραβήχτηκε και η φωτογραφία.
