Η λίμνη Κερκίνη ανά τακτά διαστήματα προκαλεί διάφορες εκπλήξεις!
Ένας όμορφος Χελιδονόγλαρος (Xema sabini), δίνει εδώ και λίγες ημέρες το παρών στη λίμνη Κερκίνης. Είναι η πρώτη φορά που έρχεται στην Ελλάδα εάν και δε ζει τόσο κοντά μας, αφού οι μετακινήσεις του είναι συνήθως από τον Αρκτικό κύκλο έως και τη ΝΔ Αφρική και νότια Αμερική.
H πρώτη ελληνική καταγραφή έγινε από τον Adrian Eisen Rupp και ακολούθησαν δεκάδες από φωτογράφους και παρατηρητές Έλληνες αλλά και ξένους. Η εμφάνιση του Χελιδονογλάρου προκάλεσε παραλήρημα στους κύκλους των παρατηρητών και φωτογράφων πουλιών που σπεύδουν στην περιοχή, μιας και πρόκειται για την πρώτη καταγραφή του είδους στη χώρα μας!
