Βλέπετε το έργο Ιστιοπλοΐα, του 1927, του ζωγράφου Νικόλαου Χειμωνά, που γεννήθηκε και έζησε το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της ζωής του στη Ρωσία.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του 1920, ο Ν. Χειμώνας ταξίδεψε πολύ σε όλη τη χώρα, δημιουργώντας μια σειρά από έργα τοπίων της Πελοποννήσου, της Κρήτης, της Σαντορίνης, της Λευκάδας και της Κέρκυρας.
Το 1929 μετακόμισε στη Σκύρο. Εδώ ο Νικόλαος Χειμώνας έπαθε ελονοσία και ως συνέπεια της εσφαλμένης διάγνωσης και θεραπείας πέθανε. Ενταφιάστηκε στο νησί της Σκύρου. Δυστυχώς ο τάφος του δεν διατηρήθηκε… Το έργο είναι κληροδότημα Κωνσταντίνου Νέγρη και βρίσκεται στην Εθνική Πινακοθήκη.
