Ένα από τα πιο όμορφα μέρη της Μάνης, αλλά και ολόκληρης της χώρας πολλοί θεωρούν το παραθαλάσσιο χωριό Λιμένι Λακωνίας. Απέχει μόλις 5 χιλιόμετρα από την Αρεόπολη.
Είναι κτισμένο σε κόλπο στις δυτικές ακτές της μέσης Μάνης, απέναντι από το Καραβοστάσι. Ο κόλπος αποτελεί το ασφαλέστερο φυσικό λιμάνι στις δυτικές ακτές της Μάνης. Το Λιμένι χαρακτηρίζεται από την παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική της Μάνης. Τα κτίρια είναι κτισμένα δίπλα στη θάλασσα. Εντυπωσιάζει με τη γραφικότητά του. Διατηρεί τα μανιάτικα χαρακτηριστικά στην αρχιτεκτονική του.
Στο Λιμένι για λόγους άμυνας έχει κατασκευαστεί στρογγυλή ντάπια (προμαχώνας). Επίσης, σπηλιές στους γκρεμούς γύρω από τον κόλπο, τα αποκαλούμενα καταφύγια, έχουν οχυρωθεί.
Ο συνδυασμός της πεντακάθαρης θάλασσας και των άγριων τοπίων καθιστούν σαφές ότι όσα θα δεις στον τόπο αυτό θα είναι αδύνατο να τα ξεχάσεις όσα χρόνια κι αν περάσουν.
