Είναι η Galanthus nivalis ή αλλιώς… η χιονονιφάδα της φύσης!
Περπατώντας κοντά σε μικρά ρέματα στα οροπέδια των Πρεσπών, μπορείς να συναντήσεις μεγάλη ποικιλία φυτών, με κάποια από αυτά να είναι αδύνατον να περάσουν απαρατήρητα! Το όνομα του Galanthus nivalis προέρχεται από τις ελληνικές λέξεις «γάλα» και «ανθός» και τη λατινική λέξη «nivis» που σημαίνει χιονονιφάδα!
Νωρίς την άνοιξη, σχηματίζουν λευκά χαλιά από όμορφα άνθη που κάνουν ορισμένα σημεία της Πρέσπας να μοιάζουν βγαλμένα από παραμύθι! Φωτογραφία N. Tsilis από την Εταιρεία Προστασίας Πρεσπών.
