Το Μουσείο Μπενάκη, (Πειραιώς 138), διοργανώνει μεγάλη επετειακή έκθεση για τη συμπλήρωση των 200 χρόνων από την Επανάσταση του 1821.
Χίλια διακόσια αντικείμενα θα ξεδιπλώσουν περισσότερα από εκατό χρόνια ιστορίας (1770-1870) σε 2.500 τετραγωνικά μέτρα. Ζωγραφικά έργα, προσωπικά αντικείμενα πρωταγωνιστών της Επανάστασης και ιστορικά κειμήλια, πλαισιωμένα από σπάνιο αρχειακό υλικό, θα παρουσιαστούν σε τρεις ενότητες που θα ζωντανέψουν: την πορεία προς την εθνική Επανάσταση, την εξέλιξη του πολέμου της ανεξαρτησίας και την ολοκλήρωση του Αγώνα, καθώς και τη δημιουργία του νέου ελληνικού κράτους και τις πρώτες δεκαετίες της ανάπτυξης και λειτουργίας του.
Από σήμερα 25/5 και κάθε Τρίτη και Τετάρτη το μουσείο θα είναι ανοιχτό στο κοινό 10:00 – 18:00.
