Οι εικόνες από την Άσσο της Κεφαλονιάς σοκάρουν, καθώς οι χθεσινές πλημμύρες που προκάλεσε ο “Ιανός” είχαν ως αποτέλεσμα την ολοκληρωτική καταστροφή του γραφικού χωριού.
Η παραλία της Άσσου, με τα γραφικά σοκάκια, έχει σκεπαστεί από τόνους λάσπης και μπάζα που μεταφέρθηκαν από έναν ορμητικό χείμαρρο από ρέμα της περιοχής.
Άνθρωποι που σώθηκαν την τελευταία στιγμή από τα ορμητικά νερά, προσπαθούν να περισώσουν ό,τι μπορούν από τις περιουσίες τους. Οι τελευταίοι τουρίστες, αφού έζησαν έναν εφιάλτη, μάζεψαν άρον άρον τα πράγματά τους και έφυγαν από το νησί.
