Ένα εντυπωσιακό ανενεργό ηφαίστειο βρίσκεται στα βορειοανατολικά του νομού Κορινθίας. Πρόκειται για το Σουσάκι το οποίο αποτελεί το βόρειο άκρο του ηφαιστειακού τόξου, στο οποίο περιλαμβάνονται ακόμη τα ηφαίστεια των Μεθάνων, της Αίγινας, του Πόρου, της Νισύρου και της Σαντορίνης.
Βρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 180 μέτρων από την επιφάνεια της θάλασσας και σήμερα, περίπου 2,5 εκατομμύρια χρόνια μετά την τελευταία του έκρηξη, διατηρεί αξιοσημείωτη δραστηριότητα. Από αυτό εκλύονται στην ατμόσφαιρα πολλές δεκάδες χιλιάδες κυβικά διοξειδίου του άνθρακα, μεθανίου και υδροθείου. Η θερμοκρασία στην πλαγιά του φτάνει ακόμη και τους 42 βαθμούς Κελσίου.
Η τελευταία έκρηξη του συγκεκριμένου ηφαιστείου ήταν μια πλάγια έκρηξη η οποία δημιούργησε νέα ξηρά στον κόλπο των Μεγάρων, όπου υπάρχει μεγάλο λιμάνι και δραστηριότητες διυλιστηρίων.
