Η Δέσποινα Γεωργιάδου έκανε ξανά την Ελλάδα περήφανη γράφοντας ιστορία… “Σκαρφάλωσε” στο Νο 2 θέση της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης στη σπάθη, μετά την ολοκλήρωση του Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου γυναικών που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο ΟΑΚΑ.
Η 32 χρονη ξιφομάχος είχε γράψει άλλη μια «χρυσή» σελίδα για την ελληνική ξιφασκία, κατακτώντας και την πρώτη θέση στη σπάθη γυναικών στο γκραν πρι της Τύνιδα που έγινε τον περασμένο Ιανουάριο.
Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι κανείς Έλληνας ή Ελληνίδα ξιφομάχος δεν έχει φτάσει τόσο ψηλά στην παγκόσμια κατάταξη…
Η 32χρονη Δέσποινα Γεωργιάδου ξεχωρίζει επειδή, όπως έχει δηλώσει «έχω πείσµα και δεν τα παρατάω. Αν θέλω να κάνω κάτι, το βάζω στόχο της ζωής µου».
