Η Σίκινος διαθέτει πολλές ενδιαφέρουσες εκκλησίες και ξωκλήσια. Aν και μικρό νησί των Κυκλάδων, διακρίνεται για τον εντυπωσιακό αριθμό και την ιστορική σημασία των εκκλησιών της.
Οι ναοί δεν αποτελούν μόνο θρησκευτικά σύμβολα, αλλά και αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της αρχιτεκτονικής φυσιογνωμίας και της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς του τόπου. Το νησί είναι γεμάτο με δεκάδες κατάλευκα ξωκλήσια, διάσπαρτα στις πλαγιές, τις ρεματιές και τα μονοπάτια. Υπολογίζεται ότι υπάρχουν πάνω από 60 εκκλησίες στο νησί. Τα περισσότερα είναι μονόχωρα, καμαροσκέπαστα, ασβεστωμένα με απόλυτη φροντίδα από τους ντόπιους (ταματα).
Η Χώρα της Σικίνου, ένας από τους πιο αυθεντικούς οικισμούς στις Κυκλάδες, φιλοξενεί μερικές από τις πιο σημαντικές εκκλησίες. Το συγκεκριμένο εκκλησάκι βρίσκεται στην κορυφή του λόφου, πάνω από τη Χώρα, και δίπλα από την Μονή Ζωοδόχου Πηγής (Χρυσοπηγή).
