Πριν κατακτήσει τον κόσμο με την φωνή της, η Νάνα Μούσχουρη εμφανίζεται στην ασπρόμαυρη ελληνική αισθηματική κωμική ταινία, του 1959, “Η Λίζα το ’σκασε”. Ερμηνεύει ζωντανά τον «Ο Υμηττός» σε μουσική Μάνου Χατζιδάκι.
Σύμφωνα με στοιχεία της Universal Music Group, η Νάνα Μούσχουρη έχει πουλήσει πάνω από 300 εκ. δίσκους παγκοσμίως, ηχογραφώντας περίπου 1.500 τραγούδια σε 15 γλώσσες και 450 άλμπουμ. Πάνω από 230 δίσκοι της έχουν γίνει χρυσοί και πλατινένιοι, παγκοσμίως. Θεωρείται από αρκετούς μία από τις πιο εμπορικές τραγουδίστριες όλων των ετών παγκοσμίως.
Έχει τιμηθεί πολλάκις για την συνεισφορά της στον παγκόσμιο πολιτισμό και ιδιαιτέρως στον ελληνικό και τον γαλλικό.
