Ανατολικά της Σαντορίνης βρίσκεται ένα πανέμορφο κυκλαδίτικο νησί του Αιγαίου Πελάγους, η Ανάφη… Παραμένει ένα νησί μακριά από τους ρυθμούς της σύγχρονης ανάπτυξης. Αν κάποιος βρεθεί στη Χώρα του νησιού αξίζει να περπατήσει στα πλακόστρωτα σοκάκια που οδηγούν στα όμορφα εκκλησάκια και στα ολόλευκα σπίτια με τις όμορφες αυλές.
Ανεβαίνοντας τα σοκάκια τα περισσότερα καταλήγουν στα ερείπια του Βενετσιάνικου Κάστρου, όπου ήταν παρατηρητήριο προς το κρητικό πέλαγος κατά την αρχαιότητα, ενώ σήμερα εκεί βρίσκεται το εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Γεωργίου.
Εντοπισμοί ελαφρόπετρας που παρατηρούνται στη νήσο φέρονται ως προϊόντα της μεγάλης έκρηξης του ηφαιστείου της Σαντορίνης το 1500 π.Χ.
