Πρόκειται για ένα από τα πιο φωτογραφημένα σημεία του νησιού, κοντά στην Πλατεία της Πούντας. Προσφέρει αμέσως την αίσθηση του μεσαιωνικού χαρακτήρα του Κάστρου. Ο οικισμός του Κάστρου είναι προσβάσιμος μόνο με τα πόδια, καθώς βρίσκεται μέσα στον παραδοσιακό οικισμό της Χώρας, όπου οι δρόμοι είναι στενοί.
Η είσοδος μπορεί να μην είναι μια επιβλητική πύλη, αλλά σε οδηγεί σε ένα λαβυρινθώδες δίκτυο στενών, ασπρισμένων σοκακιών. Βρίσκεται κοντά στην κεντρική πλατεία της Χώρας (Πλατεία της Πούντας).
