Το κυκλαδίτικο νησί του Αιγαίου βρίσκεται ανάμεσα στη Νάξο, τη Σίκινο και τη Θήρα.
Η πιο πολυσύχναστη παραλία του νησιού είναι ο Μυλοπότας, ο οποίος βρίσκεται σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση από τη Χώρα, ενώ άλλες ωραίες παραλίες είναι το Μαγγανάρι, ο Γιαλός, το Κολιτσάνι, η Κουμπάρα, ο Κάλαμος, το Σαπουνόχωμα, η παραλία του Παπά, η παραλία της Ψάθης και η Αγία Θεοδότη.
Τα μονοπάτια της Ίου αποτελούν κομμάτι από την ιστορία του τόπου. Αποτελούσαν το οδικό δίκτυο του νησιού για αιώνες ενώ τώρα αποτελούν σημαντικό στοιχείο του τουρισμού του νησιού – τόσο σημαντικό, που έχει αναγνωριστεί από την UNESCO. Φωτογραφίες Lydia
