H Βαρβάκειος Αγορά, το Σύνταγμα και το Μοναστηράκι πλημμυρίζουν με φαγητό, κέφι, μουσική και παραδοσιακούς χορούς, για να τιμήσουν το έθιμο της Τσικνοπέμπτης. Ένα έθιμο, που χάνεται στα βάθη των αιώνων, το οποίο πολλοί εικάζουν ότι προέρχεται από τις βακχικές γιορτές των αρχαίων.
Η μουσική αντηχεί παραδοσιακά στη Βαρβάκειο Αγορά, την πλατεία Μοναστηρακίου και τους γύρω δρόμους.
Η γιορτή θα ξεκινήσει με μια εκδήλωση της Φιλαρμονικής Ορχήστρας του Δήμου Αθηναίων στη Βαρβάκειο Αγορά, στις 11:30.
Στις 13:00, το συγκρότημα Χάρισμα και ο Ισίδωρος Πάτερος θα πάρουν τη μουσική σκυτάλη, υποσχόμενοι να μας ταξιδέψουν με τη μουσική τους. Η Πολιτιστική Εταιρεία Ορχηστρικής Τέχνης ΒΑΚΧΑΙ θα δώσει το ρυθμό στις 12:00 με ένα χορευτικό σόου, ξεκινώντας από την πλατεία Συντάγματος και καταλήγοντας στην πλατεία Μοναστηρακίου, με μια ενδιάμεση στάση στην πλατεία Κοτζιά για να αναπαραστήσει το έθιμο των Κορδελάτων της Νάξου.
