Σμήνος, αποτελούμενο από περισσότερα από 160 φλαμίνγκο προσγειώθηκε στον μοναδικό υγρότοπο στην Αλυκή Νάξου, προκειμένου να ξεκουραστούν και να αναπληρώσουν τις δυνάμεις τους.
Αν και δεν είναι η πρώτη φορά που Φοινικόπτερα επισκέπτονται τη Νάξο, η εμφάνισή τους δεν παύει να αποτελεί ένα εντυπωσιακό θέαμα, καθώς το χαρακτηριστικό ροζ χρώμα τους κυριάρχησε στο τοπίο της Αλυκής, εκπλήσσοντας όλους όσοι είχαν την τύχη να το απολαύσουν.
Η παρουσία τους αποτελεί άλλη μια ισχυρή απόδειξη της ανεκτίμητης αξίας των υγροτόπων και ενισχύει την ανάγκη για την συνεχή τους προστασία,
