Ο φωτογράφος αφηγείται: «Εκείνο το πρωί του Φεβρουαρίου δεν μπορούσα να πάω στη δουλειά λόγω των ισχυρών ανέμων και της χιονοθύελλας”. “Ήταν γύρω στις 8 το πρωί και μπροστά από το σπίτι είδα μερικά πουλιά να προσπαθούν απεγνωσμένα να βρουν καταφύγιο, καθώς δεν μπορούσαν να πετάξουν. Ξάπλωσα στο έδαφος μέσα στο χιόνι κρυμμένος πίσω από το σακίδιό μου, έβγαλα τον τηλεφακό και έκανα περίπου είκοσι λήψεις εστιάζοντας σε αυτόν τον μοναδικό Φλώρο, που δεν τον είχε παρασύρει ο αέρας και αντιμετώπιζε θαρραλέα για λίγα λεπτά την κακοκαιρία! Μου έκανε εντύπωση που ένα τόσο μικρό πουλάκι στεκόταν απτόητο μπροστά στη βιαιότητα της φύσης! Θαύμασα την ανθεκτικότητα αυτού του μικροσκοπικού ζωντανού πλάσματος!».
